The whole hosting stack, minus the weight.
A hosting control panel to run your own web hosting. Every account sealed in its own Linux user, with its own PHP. DNS, email, databases, SSL, backups, one-click apps and a real .htaccess — in the box, on a server you own. One line to install; accounts brought across from your old host over SSH.
$ curl -fsSL https://nimbopanel.com/install.sh | sudo bash

No command line needed — create your site in the panel and manage it from a browser.
What is Nimbopanel?
Nimbopanel is a self-hosted hosting control panel — a cPanel alternative — that runs as a single lightweight binary on a Linux server you own. Every account is isolated in its own Linux user, and DNS, email, databases, SSL, backups and client billing are built in — priced per server, not per account.

One binary runs the whole stack.
No plugins to hunt down, no add-ons to buy. The tools you actually use, built in and isolated.
Isolated by design
Every account is its own Linux user with its own PHP-FPM pool. One bad site can never touch another.
Your .htaccess still runs
Sites that need Apache rules get a real Apache behind nginx — per site, decided automatically when you import. Sites that never touch .htaccess keep the faster single hop.
Everything built in
DNS with DNSSEC, mail with spam filtering, MariaDB and PostgreSQL, scheduled and off-server backups — no extra licenses.
One-click apps
WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and more — installed as the account, into its own database.
Free HTTPS
AutoSSL issues and renews Let's Encrypt for every domain — www included, and for mail as well as the website.
Live metrics
Runtimes beyond PHP
Node, Python and Ruby apps run as managed services behind their own domain. PHP 5.6 through 8.5, chosen per site.
Bring accounts across
Pull an account straight off your old server over SSH — no gigabytes through your laptop.
Lean & fast
About 35 MB at rest, measured: a Go control plane plus its privileged helper. It orchestrates proven services — nginx, MariaDB, BIND, Postfix, Dovecot — rather than replacing them.
Security isn't a feature. It's the architecture.
Privilege separation
The brain is unprivileged; only a tiny audited executor touches root — and only through named operations.
Desired-state engine
You declare what you want; a reconciler makes it so. Predictable, repeatable, self-healing.
API-first
Everything the UI does goes through one versioned API, reachable with revocable API tokens — automatable and integration-friendly.
Signed updates
Every release, and the installer itself, is checked against a signature before it runs as root. Update from the dashboard or leave it to the daily check.
A license problem never takes a site down
If the license server is unreachable, the panel keeps running and every site keeps serving. Only creating a new account can ever be gated.
Who sits in front of it.
The person who runs the server and the person who owns one website want different things. Each gets their own view, and neither can see the other's.

NimboBilling runs the money side.
Billing built into every paid plan — not a bolt-on with its own bill. Recurring invoices, tickets, coupons and multi-gateway checkout, native to the panel.

Priced per server. Never per account.

Built honest. Verifiable by design.
We'd rather show a number we measured than a badge we borrowed.
Every release runs the full test suite on real servers — over 850 live checks per operating system across Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky and CloudLinux, with zero failures.
This site and its panel run on Nimbopanel itself — we are our own first customer, on the same one-line install you would use.
Questions, answered
What is Nimbopanel?
Nimbopanel is a self-hosted hosting control panel — a cPanel alternative — that runs as a single lightweight binary on a Linux server you own. Every account is isolated in its own Linux user, and DNS, email, databases, SSL, backups and client billing are built in — priced per server, not per account.
Is the Free tier really free?
Yes. One server and one website, with the core panel — files, databases, email, DNS, SSL and backups — for as long as you like. No card, no expiry. Move up when you need a second website or want to resell.
What are the server requirements?
A fresh 64-bit server with root access and at least 1 GB RAM (more as you add accounts), on your own VPS or dedicated box — not shared hosting. Nimbopanel is tested end to end on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04/26.04, Debian 12, AlmaLinux 8/9/10, Rocky Linux 8/9/10 and CloudLinux 8/9 — twelve OS releases across five distributions. x86_64 is the supported architecture; arm64 (aarch64) builds exist and are in final testing.
Does Nimbopanel work on AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CloudLinux?
Yes. Nimbopanel runs on the whole RHEL family — AlmaLinux 8/9/10, Rocky Linux 8/9/10 and CloudLinux 8/9 (where it honours per-account LVE limits) — as well as Ubuntu 22.04/24.04/26.04 and Debian 12: twelve OS releases across five distributions. Every release is tested on real servers, over 850 live checks per operating system, with zero failures.
Is pricing per account or per server?
Per server. Add as many hosting accounts as your server can handle — no per-account tax that grows your bill as you grow.
Does Nimbopanel include client billing?
Yes. NimboBilling — recurring invoices, PDF receipts, tickets, coupons, tax and multi-gateway checkout (PayPal, Stripe and Xendit) — is built into every paid plan at no extra licence, so there is no second product to buy or bill.
Can I migrate my cPanel accounts?
Yes. The built-in importer recreates each account from a standard cPanel backup — files, databases, email (with messages), DNS and domains — preserving passwords so sites and mail keep working.
What happens if my license server can't be reached?
Nothing breaks. Licenses are signed and validated offline-tolerant — a check-in outage never takes your hosting down.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — a full refund within 14 days of a paid purchase (see our Refund Policy). And the free tier lets you evaluate everything first at no cost.
What happens when my license period ends?
Nothing renews on its own, so there is no recurring charge to cancel. A license runs for the period you bought; your portal shows the plan and the date it runs to. When it ends the panel keeps serving every site you already host, and you buy another period whenever you want one.
